4 Rigorous Engineering Tracks

Each track is built around one real project that you deliver and defend the code of at the end — not around lectures alone.

01

Systems & database engineering

From data modelling to migrations, indexes and transactions. You leave able to design a database that survives growth, not just to run a query.

Duration12 weeks
Capstone ProjectA multi-tenant invoicing system

Core Curriculum

  1. Data modelling and normalisation
  2. Migrations and indexes
  3. Transactions and isolation
  4. Performance and query measurement
  5. Row-level security

Tech Stack

PostgreSQLDrizzleTransactionsIndexing
The track's four stages, in the order you study them
Stage 01
Data modelling
Design and normalise the project's tables, and decide what belongs to each tenant and what is shared.
Stage 02
Migrations & transactions
Write migrations and indexes, and learn when a transaction is needed and which isolation level fits it.
Stage 03
Performance & security
Measure slow queries with PostgreSQL's own tools, improve them, and add row-level security.
Stage 04
Final review & hand-in
A final code review of your project, then you deploy it and hand it in.
02

Applied AI and agents

Building agents that carry out real tasks: task definition, permission boundaries, knowledge systems, and accuracy evaluation before release.

Duration10 weeks
Capstone ProjectA document-extraction agent with a human in the loop

Core Curriculum

  1. Task definition and permission limits
  2. Tools and memory
  3. Knowledge systems and citation
  4. Evaluation before release
  5. Governance and logging

Tech Stack

AgentsRAGEvaluationGovernance
The track's four stages, in the order you study them
Stage 01
Task definition & permissions
Define exactly what the agent does and what it may not do, and prepare the documents it will work on.
Stage 02
Tools & memory
Connect the agent to the tools it needs, decide what it remembers between steps, and what it does when a step fails.
Stage 03
Human review & evaluation
Add a human review step for sensitive decisions, and measure extraction accuracy on real documents before relying on it.
Stage 04
Security & deployment
Test the agent against prompt injection, log what it does, then deploy it.
03

Flutter product development

From Figma to the app store: clean state management, offline work, full Arabic support, and measured performance.

Duration12 weeks
Capstone ProjectAn offline-capable app published to both stores

Core Curriculum

  1. Figma to components
  2. State management
  3. Local storage and sync
  4. Arabic and direction
  5. Release and review

Tech Stack

FlutterState managementRTLRelease
The track's four stages, in the order you study them
Stage 01
From design to widgets
Turn the Figma design into widgets, and choose a state-management approach that stays clear as the app grows.
Stage 02
Working offline
The app stores its data locally and works without a connection, then syncs when it returns and resolves conflicts.
Stage 03
Arabic & performance
Full Arabic and right-to-left support, and performance measured on real devices with the slow parts fixed.
Stage 04
Publishing to both stores
Sign the app, prepare what store review asks for, then publish to the App Store and Google Play.
04

Design and Arabic design systems

Design tokens, Arabic typography, contrast and accessibility — and how an identity reaches the code instead of staying in a slide deck.

Duration8 weeks
Capstone ProjectAn Arabic design system exported to code

Core Curriculum

  1. Design tokens
  2. Arabic typography
  3. Contrast and accessibility
  4. Components
  5. Exporting to code

Tech Stack

Design tokensArabic typographyWCAGComponents
The track's four stages, in the order you study them
Stage 01
Arabic typography
Choosing Arabic typefaces, sizes and line spacing that suit Arabic readers.
Stage 02
Design tokens
Turn colours, spacing and type into design tokens that export to CSS.
Stage 03
Components & accessibility
Build components that work in both directions (RTL/LTR) and meet WCAG contrast and accessibility requirements.
Stage 04
Export to code & documentation
Export the system to code with a usage guide for developers.

How Study Proceedsكيف تسير الدراسة

Not just recorded lectures

We start from a problem, not a topic. You write the code, we review it with you line by line, then you fix it and resubmit — exactly as it goes in a real team.

01

One project that runs through

You build a single product across the whole track instead of scattered exercises.

02

Real code review

Written notes on your own code, not a model answer.

03

Tests from day one

You learn to write the test before you learn to write the feature.

04

Something you can show

You leave with a published project for your portfolio.

Why We Teachلماذا نُدرّس أصلاً

Training is not a revenue line

It is how we build the team we later hire, and how we keep our engineering standards alive. When you explain an architectural decision to a hundred engineers, you find out quickly whether the decision was weak.

A large part of the Awalim team today came out of the Academy.
